These terms govern your use of DET DUDE (“Service”). By creating an account or using any part of the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
DET DUDE provides AI-graded practice tests, drills, study materials, and optional live coaching for the Duolingo English Test. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Duolingo, Inc. The DET name and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Our scores are practice estimates, not official DET results, and may differ from your actual test outcome. We make no guarantee of a particular score.
You agree not to:
Your answers, recordings, and other content (“Your Content”) remain yours. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, grade, and display Your Content back to you, solely so that we can provide the Service. We will not use Your Content to train third-party foundation models without separate, explicit consent.
The Service, its design, code, drills, and curriculum are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use it for your own DET preparation while your account is active.
We use third-party models (Anthropic, OpenAI) to score and provide feedback. Scores are algorithmic estimates. We continually evaluate and calibrate, but we cannot guarantee accuracy and we are not responsible for admissions decisions, scholarships, or other outcomes you base on a practice score. Always trust your official Duolingo English Test result over ours.
You can delete your account from /app/profile at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, commit fraud, or pose a risk to the Service or other users.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DET DUDE's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Exclusive venue lies in the state and federal courts in Delaware, except where prohibited by mandatory local consumer law.
